Web Developer at karriere.at 08/2014 — 04/2018

  • Contributed to the company's growth goal in 2017 by developing the web application jobs.at, which will help reach a different audience and thereby diversify revenue streams. Worked in a team of three people, including one Product Owner, and used modern technologies (PHP7, ES6) to build a fast and scalable web application, while also focusing on search engine optimization.
  • Instrumental in identifying opportunities and implementing features to improve site performance which resulted in lowering the page load time by 150% (from 2.5 seconds to 1 second). Achieved this goal by using advanced caching technologies, simplified and optimized CSS using BEM, splitting up services to reduce file sizes and upgrading to newer technologies.
  • Maintained and implemented features for existing web applications to improve performance and user experience.
  • Collaborated with team members across different departments to work on the company's fourth version of the core product karriere.at.
